A wild and unchanged country made up of moor, forestry and some good lowland. No towns, railways and only one A road. The low country is well provided with jumps, although alternative routes always available. Little jumping on Forestry or Moorland days.
Arguably England's oldest hunt, founded in 1668 by the Duke of Buckingham. The hunt's history is rich with folklore and characters and is the subject of the well known song "Dido, Bendigo".
The hunt is proud of it's tradition of friendliness and would like to extend a warm welcome to visitors. Field sizes average 20-30 on a Saturday, 10-15 on a Tuesday. Visitors day money £45. Six day tickets also available.
